Back in the saddle?

No, not really, I'm just running out of entry title ideas with the word "back" in them.

The baby continues to be sick. I took him to the doctor yesterday and he has brionchiolitis - an fairly common upper respiratory infection. Of course, being viral, there is no treatment other than time. He's still having constant diarrhea, and I am sick of changing dirty diapers (not to mention dirty onesies, rompers, changing table pads, etc.) And hey, the vomiting is no fun either. There are a number of people in the knitting blogverse who are expecting their first children (sequinK and Dogs Steal Yarn) - I wonder if they have any idea what they are getting into?!

Photos - finally.

Here's the back with flash:

And again without flash - this is much more accurate in terms of color:

I'm not very good at taking pictures, and the extra challenge with this project is sneaking pics when my daughter is not around. Usually the only pictures I take are snapshots of the family. It makes me appreciate how talented someone like Bonne Marie of Chic Knits is at photographing her work. Of course, she is a professional camera operator, so it's no wonder she's good!

It's always fun to see what things look like in a photograph versus how you perceive them with your own eyes. I tend to notice different details when I look at a photo of my knits. I remember when I was in design school we were taught to look at our designs on a model in the mirror - things look really different that way, it's amazing. Try it sometime, you'll see.

I'm off now to try to feed the baby. He's worse today than yesterday so I'm staying home from work with him. Let's see if I can feed him any food that will stay in his body for more than 10 minutes!
