We made it

These are some of the F words we've had in the last few days:

Fun
Festive
Friends
Family
Food

I've managed to survive the past few weeks and have made it to Christmas Day.

We finally managed to clean enough of the oven to make it usable, and I've spent much of the past two days baking, which I enjoy immensely.

In the past few days we've seen three different sets of friends we don't get to see often, spent some great time together as a family, and eaten some great food.

While I will miss the opportunity to see friends and family on the East Coast, I am so very excited to be in my own home with my own family, creating new memories and new family traditions.

We will spend the day at home today, opening presents and playing with new and old toys.

Tomorrow some good friends are coming over for fun and food, another great day.

To those of you who celebrate holidays on this day I wish you the best of times.

For those of you who don't celebrate a holiday on this day, I still wish you the best of times!

[In case you were wondering, Finished is not on the list of F words for today. With all the cleaning and mayhem around here in the past weeks, I have not managed to complete my daughter's sweater. I have completed the neck trim, pinned the sleeves and side seams, and wrapped it up anyway. Hopefully I will get it finished in the next couple of days.]

Sorry the sweater isn't finished, but congratulations on the other f's. Merry Christmas, and good luck with the family situation!
