Knitters, knitters, everywhere!

So I finally made it to one of Rachael's Knit-Out.

It was a blast. It's the first time that I've gone to a gathering of knitters that I don't know. I've been to gatherings of knitters but they've been people I know, not total strangers. I was a little bit nervous, especially showing up with the baby, but everyone was so nice and I had a great time.

I only took a couple of photos (juggling knitting and the baby kept me pretty busy)

Can you see? It's knitters as far as the eye can see. (Not the two guys at the separate table on the left). There were about 20 people there, all knitting. I didn't get to talk to too many people (I was sitting at the end since I had Buddy in the stroller) but the people I talked to were great (especially Claudia, who has had an eerily similar life course to mine).

At one point I was standing next to a lady in line to order and she looked around, turned to me and said "I just realized that everyone here is knitting". I said "yeah, isn't it great?"

It was great.
