A little of this,

and a little of that. That's how I feel tonight.

I'm making progress on the Shapely Tank:

According to the Harlot's countdown clock we're about 40% of the way through the Olympics, and I'm about that far through the Shapely Tank, so I'm doing okay. It's extremely simple to knit, but that's been good as I've really been watching the few bits of the Olympics that I've sat through. Plus, it's giving me more time to practice knitting without looking. For many years I've been able to knit simple stitches with only the occasional glance down, but now I'm getting better at not looking at all.

It helps that this is the second sweater in a row that's primarily stockinette stitch. I swear, the next sweater is going to be a cabled monster!

I have added buttons to the sidebar for the knitalongs that I have joined - the Knitting Olympics and Sockapaloooza. The Jaywalker KAL is all finished, but I'm leaving the button for now because it is so cool looking.

Since everyone on the East Coast is posting photos of their weather, (see here), I thought I would post some photos of our weather:
Proof that it does get cold at night:

(that's frost on the car, in case you live in an even warmer place!)

And:

Yes, that's the thermometer showing 33 degrees Fahrenheit, at approximately 7:30 in the morning. Cold enough for me!

Tomorrow I'm off to the Stitches Market. I've got the day off work, I'll drop the kids at day care/school at mid-day and head down to Santa Clara. I'm not taking any classes, I'm just going to check it all out, and maybe pick up a few things (although I'm not planning to buy much yarn, after the fun I had at the SuperBowl party). If you see me, say hi! I'm the one with the dark brown crew cut, and I'll probably be wearing my Leaf Lace Shawl.

I have to work on Saturday, and then I'll probably go back to the market for a couple of hours with Punkin on Sunday. She enjoys it and I like having the chance to show her some fun things.

Last year I did Stitches when I was about seven months pregnant - I'm looking forward to being a little bit lighter on my feet this time!
