Memorial Day post mortem

Nothing new on the knitting front to report, but I'm trying to get back some discipline about blogging more often (I think every day isn't realistic, but it's a goal worth shooting for.)

We had a lovely day yesterday. The Hubby had work to do, so I took the kids up to visit friends in San Francisco. It was great - we got lunch, walked around in Golden Gate Park, went to the playground, and then hung out at their place for a while. It was nice to not have a big agenda - we just hung out.

We came home in the late afternoon, experienced one major meltdown from Punkin, and then had friends over for dinner. Not only was it great to see friends we hadn't seen in a while, but they brought dinner! How cool is that!

Now we've got a short week, and then vacation! Okay, it's just a mini-vacation (a weekend) but it's "away-time" (to quote Rachael). It's also only the third time in thirteen years that the Hubby and I have taken a vacation that didn't involve extended family of some kind. Not that trips with family aren't fun, but it's good to have some family time with just the nuclear family.

Not much knitting news. I fell asleep on the sofa last night and got almost no knitting done. I only have two repeats to go to finish the center panel on the lace wrap, maybe I'll get to the border pattern tonight.
