Time flies...

How can more than a week have passed since my last post? I know that I keep thinking "oh, I should post to my blog", but I didn't realize that I have said the same thing to myself seven or eight days in a row without actually doing anything.

My socks arrived last Saturday - whee! They are wonderful blue rib socks, made with Sockotta (cotton/wool/nylon) and they are very comfortable, especially now that the weather is getting warmer here. I'll attempt to take photos and post them soon.

My sockpal also received her socks on Saturday, and she reports that they fit perfectly and she loves them - phew! I was a little worried that they wouldn't fit, and I'm so glad to hear that she likes them. Doing the Sockapaloooza was fun. I'm not sure how I feel about deadline knitting and I don't want to be doing a gift exchange like that all the time, but once in a while is fun.

I've started a new project - the Estonian Garden Wrap from Fiber Trends in Misti Alpaca Lace Weight in a beautful plum color. I guess I started about a week ago, just after I finished the socks. I'm using a size 5 circular needle, and I've been struggling with which needle to use. I started with the bamboo circ from my Webs bamboo circular set, but the join was too lumpy for the lace weight yarn. I'm now using a Clover bamboo circular, but the tips aren't quite pointy enough. It's not a big deal now, but it will be harder when I get to the bands at the ends which have K5 together (I think).

Pictures will follow soon...
