More of the same...
At the risk of sounding like a clip from the Bill Murray movie "Groundhog Day", it's been a hell of a week.
Buddy's fever was gone on Tuesday morning, but back with a vengeance on Tuesday afternoon. I had to pick him up early from daycare, and by the time we got home and took his temperature it was up to 104.3. The Hubby was working on a major deadline, so I stayed home with the boy on Wednesday. He had no fever on Wednesday, but sure was fussy and unhappy. Thursday the kids both went to school/daycare and I went back to work for the first time since the previous Thursday (a bit disorienting!). Then Thursday night we noticed that he had a rash all over his trunk, so off to the pediatrician's office on Friday morning, just to be told that it was a reaction to the virus, and he would get over it. At least he's no longer contagious, so off he went to daycare in the afternoon.
Which was good because the Hubby and I went to Punkin's pre-school graduation on Friday afternoon, which was quite a trip. They even had little blue and red caps and gown for the kids - too cute!
Today will be hectic, as I'm off to work from 12-5 (thanks again to Kathy in San Jose for switching with me for last Saturday!) and the Hubby is taking both kids to a 5 year old's birthday pool party. Yeah, I'm really bummed about missing that!
Today is Knit in Public Day, but I'm not sure if I'm going to make it to any KIP events. I will definitely make an effort to Knit in Public somewhere (I usually do so without having to make any effort at all!) but with having to go to work I'm not sure I'll make it to any events.
Hopefully Sunday will be a bit more relaxing than the week has been. Monday I get to take the cat back to the vet to have her stitches removed - her wound is looking much better. At some point I would love to have a week (or even longer) when I didn't have to take somebody to the doctor or the vet. I'm just saying, it would be nice.
Knitting progresses, not that I've taken any pictures lately (I'm sorry, I know that photos are what really bring blog entries to life, it's just not been in the cards lately).
Have a great day, and go out and Knit in Public somewhere today!!!
