All atwitter
I am currently alone in the house. And will be for the next two or so hours.
If you don't have small children this does not seem to be a big deal. But if you do have small children, you will understand that this is an enormous treat. I truly cannot think of the last time I was alone in my house. I am so thrilled to just be by myself for a little while.
Especially considering that tonight I am willingly going to be engulfed by the hordes.
Yes folks, tonight I get to go see the Yarn Harlot herself. She's speaking at Full Thread Ahead and I am so excited that I can hardly stand it. Several of my coworkers will be there, and I stand a good chance of being able to leave both children at home with the hubby (although I did half-heartedly offer to bring Punkin along; I don't think she's going to have much patience for the whole scene, especially the waiting in line for autographs...) This is only the second time Stephanie has been in this area, and I couldn't go the last time around. I'm planning to take my camera, hopefully I'll be able to snap a few shots.
Speaking of my camera, I did actually try to take photos of a few of my finished opjects (the Koigu socks and the Estonian Lace Wrap) this morning, but did such a wretched job I'm not going to post the shots. I'll try again sometime when Buddy isn't around to help (but not this morning, there's too many other things I want to do this morning while I am home alone!)
