A Halloween tale

I scared the people with whom I was trick-or-treating last night.

I took Punkin and Buddy out last night while the Hubby was home giving out candy. We met up with another family who have kids the same age (kids that your children like and parents that you like - it works out great!) Most of the time we (the adults) would stay on the sidewalk while the kids went up to each house to ring the bell.

At one house I was idly watching the kids get their candy when I realized that I recognized the shawl worn by the woman of the house, at which point I yelled out "hey, is that a Clapotis shawl? She looked up, looked kind of dazed, and said "yes!"

It scared the bejeezus out of the couple I was with.

Oh, MAN - you just gave me an idea for a Halloween costume: Internet Pattern Knitting Trend Victim. Starting at the bottom and working up: Jaywalker socks worn under Fuzzy Feet, [can't think of anything for the bottoms - I suppose jeans will have to do] Rogue (possibly worn over Chicami or some such), Clapotis, Fetching wristwarmers, all topped with a Shedir hat. A Jordana Paige bag slung over the shoulder and addis in the hair...

Of course, most people would have absolutely no idea what the heck you're supposed to be (except Knitter), but it would amuse a very select few.

...and yes - I do admit I've made at least three things on that list.
