A visit, a mini yarn-crawl, and more life
Several weeks ago my dear friend Jill and her charming man (not the international terrorist) John came for a weekend visit.
Jill and I have been good friends since sophomore year in high school, which is a increasingly long time ago.
We had a lovely weekend visit, which included a mini yarn-crawl (we went to two stores. Purchases were made, just not by me).
I have no photographic evidence that any of this took place. Most of the time I have two kids to keep track of and don't have the bandwidth to operate a camera, and when I don't have to keep track of the kids I am too busy relaxing for a few moments to think about taking pictures.
I will get to see Jill and John again later this month, though, and will try to document the experience!
Meanwhile, my little monkey (i.e. my son) continues to keep life interesting: on Saturday he climbed out of his crib during naptime. He hasn't taken a nap at home since then (despite my best efforts) and last night I spent over an hour putting him back in his crib. I'm not enjoying this.
Punkin is nearing the end of kindergarten and I'm charmed by the fact that she's bummed that school is ending. She's more and more engaged in reading on her own which warms my heart.
I have been knitting, mostly socks although I've started yet another new project. Someday I'll take pictures, but don't hold your breath.
Tomorrow I'm taking the day off work and going up north with a friend to see the Harlot and I'm very much looking forward to the whole experience. Fun will be had, pictures might be taken!
